Pratim Sengupta

I am a PhD candidate (4th year) in Learning Sciences in the Center for Connected Learning and Computer-Based Modeling (CCL) at Northwestern University.

My advisor is Prof. Uri Wilensky.

My primary research interests include a) investigating & modeling human cognition (knowledge representation) of physical phenomena; b) designing low-threshold-high-ceiling learning environments; & c) complex systems.

I used to be a fairly advanced PhD student in Physics at Northwestern before I joined the Learning Sciences program.

I grew up in India. My alma mater in India include Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur and Presidency College, Calcutta, where I completed my undergraduate education in Physics.
