Emergence

Does Eden remember your drawing?
Or, it knows how to generate it?

Imagine that by moving the mouse you planted seeds.
Does a seed store a blueprint of the tree?
Or, it knows only how to generate a stalk from which the tree will evolve
(by itself).

Imagine that each seed is actualy a gene that causes a disease.
Does the gene have a blueprint of the disease?
Or, it knows only how to prepare the body so that the disease may evolve (by itself)

Yesterday you read in a newspaper:
1. Once the human genome will be mapped we shall understand diseases.
2. In certain families breast cancer is caused by the gene BRCA

What do you think?
