This model is simulating interactions among households located into a spatially defined residential block who are influenced by its neighbors to upgrade the construction state of its houses. It tries to explain the process called consolidation where independent households construct their houses across states ( A, B, C, and D), and along a long term period of time until they finally reach completion. ## HOW IT WORKS It is very simple cellular automata model; cells represent houses and households who are influenced by its neighbors (located in rook configuration). Influence rule states that if an cell has a state value that is less than the average value of its neighbors it upgrades, if not state is kept. Rule test these condition each time per a single cell. The rule selects randomly each cell in order to be tested. ## HOW TO USE IT Setup requires to define either the block size (number of houses), and the composition of states in the block. At the begining only two states are present A and B. If it is necessary values can be showed by activating the switch. ## THINGS TO NOTICE Trajectories of each of four considered states are ploted. Ths simulation usually stops at an intermediate period before all houses reach the most developed state (D). Some times the algorithm allows all the cell to reach completion.
