Download Atomic-Force
If clicking does not initiate a download, try right clicking or control clicking and choosing "Save" or "Download".

(You can also run this model in your browser, but we don't recommend it; details here.)

WHAT IS IT?

This simulation could represent atomic-force type interactions where there is long range attraction and short range repulsion.

HOW IT WORKS

There is description in the code, see the code.

HOW TO USE IT

Click setup to place elements. Unclick setup and then click the forever go button. The once go button is for making movies of simulations with many elements that run to slowly to use in real time.

THINGS TO NOTICE

This section could give some ideas of things for the user to notice while running the model.

THINGS TO TRY

Make one element of a different color than the rest so you can easily track it through chaotic situations.

EXTENDING THE MODEL

Overcome the exponential relationship between number of elements and computation time without sacraficing accuracy or realism.
