WHAT IS IT?
This is the second version of my Zombie Infection Simulator. It attempts to explore the ramifications of a zombie epidemic on an organized society. HOW IT WORKS
Humans (colored blue in the simulation) flock together. If any zombies are nearby, they may panic (turning red), and flee in random directions.
Fighters (yellow) seek out and kill zombies, although sometimes, they are killed or infected in the process. Regular humans follow fighters faithfully.
Zombies (green) bumble around somewhat randomly, although they will chase down any humans nearby. They flock together rather weakly, but tend to get dispersed. HOW TO USE IT
"Setup" creates a number of humans. "Setup (w/ walls)" creates humans as well as a series of walls. This setup mode doesn't work particularly well at the moment, because of a direction-choosing bug. THINGS TO NOTICE
Note how the "flocks" of humans get smaller and smaller as the number of zombies increases, and how panicked humans tend to form tiny breakaway groups. EXTENDING THE MODEL
There's an odd bug in the model, which causes the flocks of humans to develop a strong tendency to point towards the bottom of the world. This interferes pretty severely with the flock motion in in the "Walls" mode. The humans also tend to "stick" to the walls. CREDITS AND REFERENCES
